How often do you hear the phrase “Be Careful What You Wish For?” You just might get it. And don’t make a true effort because then things really begin to fall into place and your manifestations become a shocking reality.
This year has gone by extremely fast for me. I feel like the winter storm in Texas literally just happened last week but yet the temperatures are definitely into their normal Summer digits. Considering the way this past year unfolded, going into 2021 for me was heavy on the uncertainty. I hit a milestone turning 30 and at the beginning of the year added a credential to my existing accolades a lot earlier than expected.
Like everyone else, I made some big ambitious goals for myself. I strategized exactly what I’d need to reach them whether it involved another person and of course set out in prayer and hustle. One goal met under my belt already was only a part of the ticket needed to reach the next and though time was quickly passing I convinced myself that things would fall in line and whether met during the timeline I set or after, it would still be great accomplishment.
Well, little did I know those goals and their timelines were already in the works. One day I’ll realize the dreams I have for myself are already in store I just need to discover them and meet them with effort to be revealed.
So just what did I do to manifest and make these a reality?
REMOVE DISTRACTIONS
First up was removing any and all distractions that did not align with the end goal and any smaller goals throughout. Saying “No” to what didn’t suite the process and setting those necessary boundaries so that I could consistently work towards my heart’s desires. To truly maintain intent meant sacrificing.
MENTORSHIP
Next was coming to terms that I might need additional encouragement and advice from someone I admired and who was once where I wanted to go. Mentorship is powerful. You can learn a lot from someone who has walked the exact same steps you’re in pursuit of.
APPLYING THE SKILLS NOW NOT LATER
Practice makes perfect! The last strategic piece was to make sure that I was exercising and applying the skills that I knew I’d need for the next steps in my current environment. This way, I could continue to talk about them in the manner they needed to be described as well as live it truthfully.
Strategy isn’t just for business. I think a lot of the millennial generation has been able to thrive and succeed off knowing this alone.
