Hi Ladies! In my pursuit of everything I wish to accomplish this year in 2020, I need to have the best of the best on my side when it comes to what I choose to incorporate into my daily beauty routines. With the ever changing world of beauty and with there being so many new brands and products out there available, I want to know that what I’m using is trusty, tried and true! I know you can relate and so, without further ado, here are my top beauty essentials and brands that I plan to stick behind this 2020. Hope you enjoy!
Top 5 of 2020
Here are my top 5 brands and products. Some are old items that have been around in my regimen for sometime and some are new items I am excited to share with you as I know you’ll be eager to try them out.
Zomchi Double Edge Safety Razor
This razor is my official entry into the green world! I had been in search of a product that would replace my old disposable razor for good and after a long search, I finally found this rose gold beaute! Your initial purchase includes the razor and 5 replacement blades that last up to 6 uses and are recyclable. Now, I will admit that this will take some getting use to, however it is worth the effort. Just be careful, these bad boys are SHARP!
Aveeno Skin Relief Intense Moisture Repair Cream
This past winter my skin took a big hit. I’d neglected moisturizing & ended up with severely dry skin. I was literally itching for days. But to the rescue was my go skin repairer; Aveeno Skin Relief Intense Moisture Repair Cream completely changed the way my skin felt and looked. This in combination with a thick oil to lock in as much of the moisture as possible helped me immensely through this cold season. I definitley plan to keep this a staple in my lineup.
Goli Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies
Good ole ACV! I am a huge fan of Apple Cider Vinegar & its track record. There are so many proven benefits from reducing cholesterol and sugar levels, killing bacteria, my favorite which is reducing belly fat & bloat, and interestingly enough, it is even said to protect against cancer. I came across these Golli gummies after being ISO of an alternative to the liquid. These give me the same benefit, just without the harsh side effects of possible teeth erosion or throat burning after long use. Trust me when i say these work! They are convenient, vegan-friendly, gluten & gelatin free.
Crystal rollers are really starting to become a hot item in the beauty world. The stones alone have their own unique benefits and said healing powers but become even more magical when used for face massaging to promote lymphatic drainage, toning, tightening, depuffing, and even detoxing. Making a choice of which to choose and use can be as easy as incorporating both into your daily routine for the ultimate outcome. Use the Jade Roller in the morning straight from the fridge and the Rose Quartz Roller at night before you head to bed. Be sure to grab your favorite serum to use with both.

This moisturizer is my go to twice a day after cleansing. It has really been saving grace to my super dry skin. In just 1 pump, 2 products are automatically blended producing a cocktail of an intense treatment which is exactly what I need to retain moisture, improve elasticity leaving my skin glowing. The system provides moisture and adds an extra level with a concentrate chosen based on your skin type. The orange concentrate in mine is for fatigue skin needing and extra layer of assistance.
The Next 10 Items are from tried and true brands I love and are currently also a big staple in my beauty routine.
Spending hours in the bathroom cleaning dirty makeup brushes trying to bring them back to life, & having a million and one brushes for each product at hand are things of the past with Cinema Secrets – Makeup Brush Cleaner. Just dip each into the cleaning solution & wipe on a black towel or paper towel. This is great for minimalists who do not lack a bunch of tools for applying makeup & may need to use 1 brush for multiple products. Pro Tip: Use a metal container to hold solution for brush cleaning. I recently moved into an apartment with a tub separate from the shower. As you can imagine, I was super excited about getting the chance to pamper myself occasionally with a bath, glass of wine, my favorite show on the iPad with.
To give myself even more of a luxurious experience, I drop in each bath, my favorite, Lush – Olive Branch Bath Bomb. This bath bomb is so soothing. The ingredients inside have a purpose to moisturize and I can truly testify that after each time I use, I feel a big difference. The thing I like most about Lush and their products is that they are organic & the brand is transparent about what they put in each. If you go into their storefronts, or purchase online you’re able to read up on each ingredient use to create the one item. Being trusting of a brand is really important to me.
Cleanse! Exfoliate! Moisturize! These simple steps are the keys to having healthy, glowing skin. Ever wonder why your skin looks dull & not no matter what you try you can’t seem to get it to glow like your favorite influencer? Well, the not so secret secret is that they exfoliate. Exfoliating helps to remove the first layer of dead skin, making way for your moisturizer to do its job. With the step of exfoliating, your moisturizer is having to work a littler harder and in some cases not getting performing at all. The Honesty Beauty – Konjac Bath Sponge helps you remove unwanted layers leaving your skin radiant and looking refreshed. First Aid Beauty is one of my top favorite beauty brands, my dry skin loves it & my lips have been loving them even more since i’ve been using their Ultra Repair Lip Therapy Lip Balm. This Lip Balm is a new but worthy staple added in my lineup this year that I plan to keep around. This is probably the one area I struggle with maintaining moisture and am so insecure about it most days. First Aid Beauty has however been able to change that for me.
The Grace & Stella – Foot Mask and Grace & Stella – Under Eye Masks are new additions to my regimen for 2020. Instead of spending money on & time this year at the salon, I will be self servicing with two saving graces to try & keep a little extra green in my pocket. At home do it yourself treatments are becoming more & more accessible and popular because of items like these by Grace & Stella. There are also more cost effective, especially if it takes a few attempts at getting the results you want.
If you have been wanting to replace your current toothpaste brand with a more natural, sustainable option, consider Bite – Toothpaste Bits! These vegan compact tablets will give you the same fresh, minty, white smile your current brand promises, but with ingredients you can count on. Just pop in a bite, chew and with a damp toothbrush, start cleaning.
I will admit, this product has not made an actual debut in my hair care regimen yet, however, I have been eager to try it out since I made a promise to begin to wear my natural hair more often this year. With that expectation in mind, I have been wanting purchase products that I can use to maintain moisture and overall health. Little did I know, I would come across an option to use at night while I was asleep. IGK Antisocial Overnight Dry Spray is a bond building hair treatment that claims to repair damage with little effort. It is also vegan!
I tend to keep my everyday makeup routine short & sweet. Natural is an look I like to tray and master, with the most minimal products and effort. With Fenty Beauty – Match Cream Blush & Benefit Cosmetics – BADgal Bang! Volumizing Mascara, I can look like I spent a lot of time on myself for a simple natural & refreshed look.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I did writing it. Beauty is in all of us but takes time to nurture and maintain so it is exciting to see products that are geared towards helping with that overall goal especially with ingredients and made by brands we can trust.
