This year I’ve seen less brunch weekends than usual and its been quite disappointing. Since moving to Dallas, I grew a fond liking to getting dressed up other than for work, and meeting up at different locations to experience the city’s most participated event on weekends, BRUNCH with friends and colleagues.
Discovering new places with the best vibes, good eats and Mimosas by the Carafe is a distant memory now, but I know this won’t be for long.
In honor of Dallas Brunch Days, here are 7 of my favorite Brunch Spots that not only each have menus filled with good eats, but also all have patio seatings with views!
- Yardbird Southern Table & Bar(Downtown) is the newest location in the Dallas area. It has an elevated menu and beautifully executed country chic aesthetic, perfectly designed for its location near downtown Dallas. Walk off your meal at Kylde Warren Park or visit the Arts Museum which is located adjacent from the restaurant. This is by far my #1 Suggestion for anyone looking for a great brunch possible plate sharing and the full Dallas Brunch Experience.
- Breadwinners (Uptown) has a very large menu and an interesting welcome for its guests. Instead of bread for the table, this restaurants gives an assortment of cakes slices from its in house bakery. Be careful, they’ll have you wanting to take the entire showcase home with you.
- Gloria’s (Uptown) is a Latin restaurant and the brunch menu is authentic to its traditional cuisine and the proportions are hefty. Diner favorites anytime of the day are the drinks – Margaritas and flavored Mimosas are a must have.
- STIRR (Deep Ellum)While the menu is modest, the vibe and view of the city on the upstairs patio is truly priceless. Theres always music for entertainment and great space to enjoy for large parties when reservations are made ahead of time.
- Moxie’s (Uptown) This is one of the chicest sports bars I’ve come across in Dallas. You can enjoy sports games inside around the bar or take the party outside. The french toast here is a great option for brunch enthusiasts.
- The Henry (Downtown)The upstairs patio provides scenic views to those choosing to dine here. The decor is eclectic and theres a full bar upstairs as well as an upstairs specific menu. Theres usually music playing not too loudly and a calming atmosphere to gather with family or friends but with an elevated experience in mind.
- Cork & Pig Tavern (Las Colinas) This restaurant features a French Toast covered in Fruity Pebbles, Deviled Eggs and Frozen Rose. Unlike others, Cork & Pig Tavern extends brunch menu options to 3pm making it accessible if you’re hitting up the late service at church or want to have a mid day pow wow.
